For the time being, Marble Falls is the only city within the immediate Burnet and Llano County area that maintains an independent animal care facility.
However, that circumstance may change during upcoming months.
During the workshop Oct. 15, Marble Falls Police Chief Glen Hanson and Assistant Police Chief Trisha Ratliff recommended to city council members that the city join hands with the Hill Country Humane Society (HCHS) to enhance animal services.
