The Faith Academy of Marble Falls football team defeated San Marcos Academy 40-33 Oct. 25 to begin Division II, District 6 play of the Texas Association of Private and Parochial Schools.
"We jumped on them in the first half," Flames head coach Jay Silvers said. “In the second half, my offense only got the ball twice. We ended up with the ball last and ran out the clock."
The Flames (3-6, 1-0), who led 28-12 at the intermission, got the ball with about three minutes left in the contest. They had a total of eight offensive possessions and scored on six. They had a fumble and turned the ball over on downs on the other two.
