The Helping Center shares responses to its ‘Gratitude Project’

Special to The Highlander In October, The Helping Center (THC) launched its first-ever "Gratitude Project". The goal of the proj - ect was to prepare its cli - ents and the community at large to reflect on the many gifts we have re - ceived. This reflection is especially important as we prepare to celebrate the Thanksgiving holiday.

The Helping Center honors those in our com- munity who are strug - gling to make ends meet and who need a helping hand: I am grateful: "that God is in control"… "for the food pantry" … "for my neighbors" …" for waking up this morning" … "for wonderful people in our community" … "for the people we meet and greet" … "for friends and family" … "for my husband" … "for the life God has given me"… "for the perfect weath - er"…"for clothing, trans - portation & food"… "for the people who volunteer here" … "I thank God for all His blessings and for my child with autism" … "for the donors of The Helping Center" … "for Life, food and health" … "for two healthy grand - babies" … "for my lord" … "for those blessings I'm not aware of" … "for my home, my car, and my dog" … "I thank God for the very hard test we had to go through with the birth of my baby.
