City of Meadowlakes
In recent weeks these pages have included discussion on the Webworm Co-op, which I wanted to conclude before leaving for a long-awaited trip. The discussion below was prepared with extensive help from the president of the Webworm Co-op, John Aaron, who is also a former mayor. We both agreed on the importance of providing information on the recently approved optional billing for voluntary contributions to the co-op as well as providing information on the origin of the co-op.
In addition to being the co-op’s president and former mayor, John worked as a mission control specialist for NASA in the Apollo program in which we sent 24 astronauts to the moon, 12 of whom walked on the moon’s surface. John’s analytics were the most important considerations in saving the lives the Apollo 13 astronauts. His attention is now focused, in part, on saving the pecan trees of Meadowlakes, using strategically planned non-toxic sprays. This column, however, should be of interest to residents whose lots do not have pecan trees, as well as a reminder for those that do.
