Changes in leadership at MidCoast Health Systems in El Campo seems to be at least partly responsible for concerns about the future of Mid-Coast Central Hospital in Llano.

The hospital board fired former Chief Operating Officer (COO) Nathan Tudor on Oct. 2, according to the Wharton County Leader News, El Campo’s local newspaper.

He was replaced by Brett Kirkham, who had been acting as COO since late October.
