Gardening pro will explain ‘drought tolerant’

Colleen Dieter, a top gardening educator, is the speaker for the Highland Lakes Native Plant Society’s Chapter meeting Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Marble Falls Library, 101 Main Street, from 1 – 3 p.m. She will address the topic of “Drought Tolerant Plants for the Hill Country.”

In this lively presentation, Dieter will introduce you to some of her favorite plants, the tried and true Central Texas survivors and will also discuss what “drought tolerant” really means and share some plant maintenance tips.

Dieter is often asked to speak to audiences about native Texas planting. Her speaking appearances include the Ladybird Johnson Wildflower Center, TreeFolks, Central Texas Williamson County Master Gardeners and the Natural Gardener.
