Marble Falls EDC notes early slight sales tax revenue drop

The Marble Falls Economic Corporation started New Year 2025 on a somewhat disappointing note.

During his report to the EDC board during the Jan. 9 meeting, Executive Director Christian Fletcher indicated the amount of sales tax revenue EDC collected during the first quarter of Fiscal Year 2025 fell about $1,200, about 2% less than original expectations.

Other municipalities outside Marble Falls saw similar drops in sales tax revenue, Fletcher said.
