Mustangs beat the Badgers in district basketball battle

The Marble Falls High School boys basketball team defeated Lampasas 61-56 Jan. 7 to move to 3-0 in District 24-4A play in an early battle for first place in the standings.

“Super proud of the efforts from our entire team,” head coach John Berkman said. “Felt like some things just weren’t going our way. Whether it be missed shots, missed opportunities, guys in foul trouble – you name it. Felt like it didn’t go our way early, but our guys just kept plugging and kept plugging and kept plugging.”

The contest couldn’t have started better for the Mustangs.
