Horseshoe Bay reports $5.6M surplus

Horseshoe Bay city council members got a chance to brag Tuesday – at least for what their predecessors and the city staff did.

Jon Watson of the Houston auditing firm of Brooks Watson & Co. told the council his firm was providing the highest recommendation after reviewing the city’s financial audit for the past fiscal year. That fiscal year ended Sept. 30.

The finding is in the form of what’s called an “unmodified opinion.”
