Reject public money for private schools

The Texas Senate held a hearing on SB 2 on Tuesday, Jan. 28, regarding school vouchers. The committee members are proposing $1B for 60,000 kids already in private schools and only $3.85B for the 5.6 million kids in public schools.

The breakdown of these funds would be allocated as follows: $16,667 per private school pupil with only $686 per public school pupil.
