Area fair ready to accept Ice Cream Crank-Off contestants

fitting location for an oldfashioned, homemade ice cream competition. If you make a delectable ice cream, the 2024 Fair Committee wants you to enter for a chance to win an award and a year's worth of bragging rights.

The "crank-off" will take place on Friday, June 7 at 2 p.m. The recipe for an entry must be submitted during registration hours on Wednesday, June 5 between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m. or Thursday, June 6 between 9 a.m. and noon, at the AgriLife Auditorium, 607 N. Vandeveer in Burnet. The entrant must complete an entry form with their ice cream recipe attached and receive an entry tag for the competition. This tag must be on the entry/freezer when brought to the fair on Friday for the competition.

The entry is to be frozen and ice-packed in the ice cream freezer it was made in. Any type of freezer may be used. The entry/freezer must be opened in front of the judges (do not open prior to arrival).
