Bryan E. Wilson county judge application letter

Please accept my application and resume for the position of Burnet County judge. The resume and attached materials demonstrate that I exceed the minimum requirements. My work in county and state government has focused on serving the communities and the people of Texas. Please accept my application and resume for the position of Burnet County judge. The resume and attached materials demonstrate that I exceed the minimum requirements. My work in county and state government has focused on serving the communities and the people of Texas. My record demonstrates expertise in collecting hundreds of millions of dollars in state fees, controlling tens of millions of dollars in expenditures and overseeing how cities and counties use and account for funds. This has resulted in successful programs on time and under budget while providing clear performance measures of these successes. My assistance was provided to counties and cities of every type and size. It was an honor to have been able to plan, implement and report these program activities and successes to the Texas governors, state legislators, judges, county officials and concerned stakeholders.

This position will need my extensive experience with the Texas Open Meetings Act since I have planned, set agendas, produced documents, and managed public meetings for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, the judiciary and the Motor Vehicle Crime Prevention Authority. I assisted the judge and justices in creating processes to conduct these online and in-person open meetings that were more transparent and available to the public and stakeholders than the law required. Finally, my years of experience presenting financial, process, and program information before commissioners court meetings, county advisory board sessions, judicial administrative board meetings and regional planning meetings will be useful.

Burnet County deserves the effective and open government that my past service and experience will provide. I look forward to meeting the public and commissioners to discuss my qualifications and demonstrate my passion for pubic service.
