Mustangs’ tough defense not enough against the Bulldogs

The Burnet High School boys basketball team defeated Marble Falls 38-30 Feb. 7 to split the season series in District 24-4A.

The Burnet High School boys basketball team defeated Marble Falls 38-30 Feb. 7 to split the season series in District 24-4A.

“We played extremely tough defensively and held them down to 40 and gave ourselves a chance to win the game,” Mustangs head coach John Berkman said. “We just couldn’t score.”

The Bulldogs (17-16, 6-5) led from start to finish, taking a 4-0 lead and never looking back.
