Commissioners set to continue county judge screen

During their next regular meeting, the Burnet County Commissioners Court plans to interview three applicants seeking appointment for the vacant position of county judge. The meeting is scheduled 9 a.m.

During their next regular meeting, the Burnet County Commissioners Court plans to interview three applicants seeking appointment for the vacant position of county judge.

The meeting is scheduled 9 a.m. Feb. 11 in Burnet at the County Courthouse, 220 S. Pierce St.

Pct. 1 Commissioner Jim Luther Jr., Pct 2. Commissioner Damon Beierle, Pct. 3 Commissioner Chad Collier and Pct.4 Commissioner Joe Don Dockery plan to interview retired 33rd Judicial District of Texas Judge Guilford “Gil” Jones, Burnet County Sheriff’s Office Chief Deputy Alan Trevino and former state grant manager and probation officer Bryan Wilson for the county judge office, vacant since the resignation of former Burnet County Judge James Oakley, Jan 2.
