Considering ‘interim’ judge in light of deadlock vote

Dear Editor; Editor’s Note: The following is an ‘open letter’ to Burnet County commissioners regarding their selection of an applicant to fill the role of a vacancy for county judge. First please know this note is sent with respect and a fair amount of pleasure in knowing I do not have to make this decision.

Dear Editor;

Editor’s Note: The following is an ‘open letter’ to Burnet County commissioners regarding their selection of an applicant to fill the role of a vacancy for county judge.

First please know this note is sent with respect and a fair amount of pleasure in knowing I do not have to make this decision. As is often the case, I feel certain the view from that side of the desk is substantially different from on this side. However, I respectfully ask y’all to consider the task at hand - appoint an interim judge. The key word being interim.
