Feds could assist in keeping Llano hospital doors open

Llano County commissioners got some good news about the county’s hospital at their regular meeting Monday.

“We’ve made important progress over the last two weeks, not only have we made significant progress in defining the final agreement between Llano (county) and MidCoast (Health Systems), but we’ve also worked with the (U.S. Department of Agriculture) Technical Assistance Team to learn more details about the rural health care opportunities Llano County has to offer,” County Judge Ron Cunningham said.

“This progress on both fronts ensures that our hospitals remain open and we hope to restore many of the services our community deserves.”
