Valentine’s Day was extra special for 365 Pet Connection as it was a lucky recipient of the Rick Edwards Day of Service. The nonprofit organization is a rescue facility for dogs located in Burnet County.
Although Rick Edwards, a local businessman and longtime Marble Falls ISD board trustee, has passed away, his legacy of service to others and his community lives on with this day of service organized by the Highland Lakes Crisis Center and the MFISD. Six Marble Falls high school students and their chaperone joined 365 Pet Connection volunteers to paint and repair our outdoor dog kennel and adjoining outbuildings.
Board member Karen Moore sponsored and delivered a pizza lunch and break time was spent with foster dog, Kori, and her eight puppies as well as the resident donkeys, Ricky and Sassy.
