The Boys and Girls Club of the Highland Lakes-Kingsland Unit has announced plans for its Fifth Annual Touch-A-Truck event to be held April 26. This event is promoted to families and businesses in the Kingsland area. With a large turnout expected, the event promises to provide great exposure for your business. Proceeds will go towards the continued support and success of the Kingsland Unit. There are three sponsorship categories – $500 to be a Big Rig Sponsor, $250 for the Heavy Duty Sponsor and $125 to be a Tough Truck Sponsor. All donations are greatly appreciated. The Hill Country Community Theatre announces auditions for its upcoming production of Oklahoma! Join the troupe to bring this timeless story to life. Audition dates are Saturday, March 15, at 6 p.m. and Sunday, March 16, at 2 p.m. at the HCCT, 4003 W FM 2147 in Cottonwood Shores. Requirements include: Prepare one song in a similar style to the show for the vocal audition; cold readings from the script will follow vocal auditions; and be ready for a movement combination. Wear comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear. This is your chance to be part of an iconic production filled with memorable music and unforgettable characters.
