County kicks judge pick can down the road

After almost one hour of deliberation during a closed-door executive session, the Burnet County commissioners took no action related to the selection of an official to fill the vacancy for county judge.

After almost one hour of deliberation during a closed-door executive session, the Burnet County commissioners took no action related to the selection of an official to fill the vacancy for county judge.

Indeed, after the executive session, Pct. 1 Commissioner Jim Luther Jr., Pct. 2 Commissioner Damon Beierle, Pct. 3 Chad Collier and Pct. 4 Joe Don Dockery offered no comment regarding the continuing delay to appoint a new judge.

The Highlander asked Beierle when the commissioners will schedule another time to consider the vacancy.
