The Granite Shoals City Council agreed Tuesday to go along with a rewritten ordinance controlling deer harvesting in the city, including using the city’s non-sales-taxpaying position to buy equipment for deer harvesters.
There was one joking – maybe – admonition from the council: “Keep an eye on that credit card.”
Wildlife Advisory Committee Vice-Chair Mark Henshaw and committee member Keith Rogers appeared before the council on the agenda item. They said it’s important for the city to begin acquiring equipment now, and the council agreed to do that.
