Weather service forecasts high winds

Wind damaged the patio roof of a business in downtown Marble Falls at Avenue J and Third Street March 4 as wind gusts reportedly topped 40 mph.

According to the National Weather Service, wind gusts could continue through Thursday, March 6.

Mostly sunny. Areas of blowing dust. Very windy with highs in the upper 60s. West winds 30 to 40 mph.

Tonight

Areas of blowing dust in the evening. Clear, windy with lows in the mid 40s. Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph, diminishing to 15 to 20 mph after midnight.

Sunny. Highs in the lower 60s. Northwest winds 10 to 15 mph.

Wednesday Night

Mostly clear in the evening, then becoming partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 30s. North winds around 5 mph, becoming southeast after midnight.

Mostly sunny. Highs in the upper 60s. Southeast winds 10 to 15 mph, becoming south 15 to 20 mph in the afternoon.
