Three Marble Falls powerlifters qualify for the state meet

The Marble Falls High School boys powerlifting team finished third at the Region 2 Division 2 meet March 8.

The Mustangs were led by Daniel Dominguez, David Dominguez and Arnulfo Salazar, who will compete at the Class 4A state meet March 21 at the Taylor County Expo Center in Abilene.

Salazar won the 181-pound division thanks to lifting a total weight of 1,465 pounds, while Daniel Dominguez was second in the 123-pound weight division by lifting a total weight of 955 pounds, and David Dominguez was third in the 132-pound division with a total weight of 1,115 pounds. He had already qualified for the state meet because he hit the qualifying standard earlier in the season.
