Wina Jane Hicks

August 7, 1944 —February 27, 2025 Wina Jane Hicks, 80, of Marble Falls, our tough, independent and feisty mama, passed away at home with her daughters by her side on February 27, 2025. A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.

Wina Jane Hicks, 80, of Marble Falls, our tough, independent and feisty mama, passed away at home with her daughters by her side on February 27, 2025. A memorial service is planned for 11:00 a.m., Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Jenkins Funeral Home, Burnet, Texas.

She was born in San Antonio, Texas on August 7, 1944 to the late Albert C “Pat” Patterson and Winona Willett De-Spain Patterson.

Jane graduated from Hoover High School in San Diego, California in 1963, living in Southern California until 1977 when she and her girls moved to Marble Falls to be close to family and start a new life in Texas.

Jane worked at Johnston’s Sewing Factory in Burnet, HEB in Marble Falls and finally retiring from Highland Lakes Quality Casting in Marble Falls.

She came to the Lord later in life, but knew Jesus as her Lord and Savior and we are comforted in knowing she is now in His presence.

Jane is preceded in death by her parents, her twin sister, Winnie Jean Hill and her granddaughter, Jamie LeeAnn Mowrey. Left to cherish her memory are sister, Carol Stine (Scott) of Orange Beach, Alabama, daughters, Christy Hicks Mowrey (Mike) of Marble Falls and Carla Hicks of Marble Falls. Grandchildren, Matthew Mowrey (Katie), Ashley Bible Mihelich (Brandon) and Jaylan Bible Taylor (Lance), and her precious great-grandchildren, Benjamin, Maggie, Zoe Jane, Whitley and Lyla.
