Marble Falls ISD is excited to announce the appointment of Heather Metzgar as the new principal of Spicewood Elementary School and Kara Gasaway as the principal of Marble Falls Elementary School for the 2025-2026 school year. Both leaders bring extensive experience and a deep commitment to student success.
Spicewood Elementary Heather Metzgar joins Spicewood Elementary with 29 years of experience in education, having served in various roles including teacher, counselor, and administrator at the elementary, intermediate, middle and high school levels. She has also held leadership positions at the central office level, providing district-wide support and guidance.
A former Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association (TEPSA) Assistant Principal of the Year, she has demonstrated a strong ability to foster academic growth and lead innovative programs. Her extensive experience in curriculum development, student mentorship, and educational leadership makes her an excellent fit for the Spicewood Elementary community.
