The Marble Falls Economic Development Corporation (EDC) recently reviewed and approved amendments to key documents to maintain progress toward completion of the downtown hotel and conference center project adjacent to Lakeside Park.
During the March 18 special meeting in Marble Falls City Hall at 800 Third St., the EDC board, including the president, Steve Reitz, and directors Mark Mayfield, Ryan Nash, John Packer, Lindsay Plante and Dave Rhodes (also the mayor of Marble Falls) reviewed and approved the third amendment to the project performance agreement between the EDC and the Marble Falls Hotel Group, its main partner for the conference center project.
According to EDC Executive Director Christian Fletcher, the third amendment stipulates the project deadline for outside funding and construction commencement is June 1, 2025.
