Superintendent to speak to retired teachers

The Highland Lakes Retired Teachers Association will welcome Jeff Gassaway, superintendent of Marble Falls Independent School District, to our meeting Tuesday, April 1. Texas ranks 42nd out of 50 states in per-student public education funding, so districts across our state search for new ways to meet the needs of the district for up-grading technology, increasing safety and security, improving school facilities, etc.
