Big fair to prepare public for disasters

When disaster strikes, local residents’ first line of defense may be their own household readiness.

Several agencies and entities are coming together this Saturday to help prepare residents in the event of a crisis or serious emergency.

Pedernales Electric Cooperative is partnering with the Burnet County Sheriff’s Office and Office of Emergency Management for a firstof- its-kind community preparedness fair, called “Ready as One”.
