Marble Falls Daybreak Rotary Club assists food pantry

Upon learning that the Marble Falls Helping Center was having difficulties due to increasing families and individuals needing food assistance and rapidly growing costs, the Marble Falls Daybreak Rotary Club felt a call to assist.

Upon learning that the Marble Falls Helping Center was having difficulties due to increasing families and individuals needing food assistance and rapidly growing costs, the Marble Falls Daybreak Rotary Club felt a call to assist.

According to Paul King, president of the Helping Center Board, there were an average of 2,500 visits per month in 2024. This average compares to an average of 514 per month in 2020.

Client expenses also amounted to an average of $27,000 per month in 2024 up from $2,000 per month in 2020, he explained.

The Helping Center has provided over one million pounds of food; 90% of all donations directly benefit Helping Center clients.
