April 2, 1929 —April 28, 2025 Maria DeBanuet transitioned to Heaven on April 28, 205. She was born April 4, 1929 to parents Gerardo Cervantes and Maria de Jesus Velazquez in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

Maria DeBanuet transitioned to Heaven on April 28, 205. She was born April 4, 1929 to parents Gerardo Cervantes and Maria de Jesus Velazquez in San Luis Potosi, Mexico.

As a young adult, Maria was a hair stylist. After she married, she became a business entrepreneur before she and her family moved to the United States. She enjoyed arts & crafts, spending time with her family, playing board games and cooking and her passion was learning the English language and studying the Bible, both of which she continued to enhance until she was 90 years old. Maria was a devoted Catholic and member of St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church where she served as a Eucharist Minister and was a member of the Prayer Blanket Ministry, Prayer Group, Quilting Club and the Arts & Crafts club.

She was preceded in death by her parents Gerardo Cervantes and Maria de Jesus Velazquez, her husband Guillermo Banuet de La Rosa, her siblings Gerardo Cervantes Velazquez, Delfina Cervantes Velazquez, Genoveva Cervantes, Alicia Cervantes Velazquez, Rosendo Cervantes Velazquez and Carlos Cervantes Velazquez.

Maria is survived by her children Guillermo Patricio Banuet and spouse Dolores Herlinda Samia Veloz, Amado Banuet and spouse Adela Banuet, Victor Banuet, Jorge Banuet and spouse Maria de La Luz Avalos, Ely Banuet and spouse Ruben Rodriguez, Rosario Banuet and spouse Liz Ramon and Monica Banuet.

She is also survived by her 12 grandchildren and 16 greatgrandchildren.

Maria’s Visitation and Rosary were held on April 20, 2025, at Clements-Wilcox Funeral Home in Marble Falls and her Funeral Service was held on May 1, 2025 at St. John the Evangelist Catholic Church, also in Marble Falls.
