St. Paul’s parishioner receives National Service Award

Longtime Horseshoe Bay resident and St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church parishioner Lois Girten has received the prestigious Spirit of Hecker Award for her exemplary willingness to serve others in both her parish and the broader community.

The award honors exemplary leaders and volunteers from the parishes, Catholic centers, and ministries the Paulist Fathers serve throughout the United States and in Rome, Italy.

The Paulist fathers, based in New York City, N.Y., have served as pastors of St. Paul’s in Horseshoe Bay since its founding in the 1970s.
