Several Mustangs chosen to play in all-star game

The Highland Lakes will be well represented by several athletes playing in the inaugural Hill Country Coaches Association all-star game at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Texan Stadium in Wimberley.

The Highland Lakes will be well represented by several athletes playing in the inaugural Hill Country Coaches Association all-star game at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 17, at Texan Stadium in Wimberley.

They are Marble Falls quarterback Colton Minor and receivers Kole Becker and Noah Lyon, who will also play linebacker; Llano running back Trey Mote and receivers R.J. Coplin and Carter Bickett, who will also play defensive back, and inside linebacker Tate Morgan; and Burnet center Jonathan Ryder, defensive end Noah Billock and receiver Marcus Pimentel.

Joel Fontenot- Amedee, who is the founder and president of the HCCA, said one big reason why he started the association goes back to the players.
