Oscar Lazos Jr., 65, of Marble Falls, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on May 12, 2025, surrounded by the love of his family and the presence of Jesus.

Oscar was born in Robstown, Texas, to Oscar and Irma Lazos Sr. He attended Plains Public Schools From K-12. From an early age, music was woven into the fabric of his life. At just 13 years old, he began playing in a Mexican Conjunto band alongside his father, a bond that deepened both his love for music and his connection to family tradition. Over the years, Oscar’s talent on the bass and guitar only grew, and music remained one of his greatest passions throughout his life.

Oscar and Becky met in Denver City, TX. He was playing in a rock band, and it was love at first sight. It wasn’t long, and they were married. Oscar is survived by his beloved wife of 42-years, Becky, his adored children, Oscar Michael III (Jillian), Michelle, Maxx (Megan); and cherished grandchildren, Aja Anais, Oscar Michael IV, Isaiah, Hurlee, and Lydia Love. His brothers and sisters, Tony (Gracie), Ernie (Melinda), Élfida (Tim), Mary, Irma (Scott), Harvey (Heather) and many beloved nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was deeply proud of his family and the life they built together.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, June 20, at 2:00 pm at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Plains, Texas. Friends and family are invited to attend and celebrate Oscar’s life, his music, and the love he shared so generously. A special thank you to all those who helped make life a bit easier.

Oscar will be remembered for his warm spirit, his devotion to his wife and family, and the music that echoed through every chapter of his life.
