All eyes on lawmakers; follow the bouncing bills

In last week’s Mayor’s Corner column, I brought up Senate Bill 7 sponsored by Charles Perry of Lubbock which lays out the administrative framework for funding water projects through the leadership of the Texas Water Development Board. The bill is part of a strategy to fund water infrastructure projects by devoting $1 billion in sales tax revenues toward these projects for the next ten years (total of $10 billion).
