Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) is seeking nominations for its new Community Transformer Award, which recognizes individuals who are making remarkable contributions in their community. PEC will recognize the winners at the October 2025 board meeting and will celebrate them with a ceremony and by planting a tree in their honor.
For more than 85 years, the cooperative has played a vital role in transforming the Texas Hill Country into a thriving economic landscape. The region has seen incredible growth and prosperity thanks to the hard work of community leaders, and PEC wants to pay tribute to their service.
“For decades, PEC has given back to schools, nonprofits, and chambers of commerce,” said Jared Fields, PEC external relations representative.
