Public invited to reading of founding documents in public square

Citizens in the tri-county area are invited to hear the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights read Thursday, the day before the Fourth of July. To honor America and the freedoms we all enjoy, members of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association will gather across the State of Texas in some of the 254 counties for a formal reading of the founding documents.

Citizens in the tri-county area are invited to hear the Declaration of Independence and Bill of Rights read Thursday, the day before the Fourth of July.

To honor America and the freedoms we all enjoy, members of the Texas Criminal Defense Lawyers Association will gather across the State of Texas in some of the 254 counties for a formal reading of the founding documents.

Come and celebrate in Llano County with friends and family to reinforce the documents that enshrine our great freedoms.

The local readings will be held in Burnet, Llano and Blanco counties on July 3. In Burnet County, citizens are invited to meet at the Veterans Memorial on the square, 220 S. Pierce St. at 9 a.m.

Llano County folks will gather at the courthouse gazebo, 801 Ford St. at 10:30 a.m. Bring your lawn chairs.

Blanco citizens will hear it read at the Veterans Memorial, 300 N. Nugent in Johnson City at 11:30 a.m.
