No doubt you have seen on TV, advertisements to protect your property ownership where bad actors could potentially submit fraudulent documents to change ownership of your property and then take out a mortgage on your property that you are not aware of.

The Llano County Clerk established a Property Fraud Alert Program where you can register your name with the County Clerk and if any property transactions are shown to take place in your name you will be alerted that a transaction is taking place. This will allow you to check to see if it is a legitimate transaction or not. No other information is provided to you, but this alert allows you to correct any fraudulent transaction in a timely manner.
