On Monday, June 10, at the Kingsland Community Center, located at 3451 Rose Hill Drive, starting at 6:30 p.m., the Central Texas Electric Cooperative (CTEC) will be hosting the CTEC District 4 Llano County annual meeting.

The annual meeting is normally held in Llano at the high school. This is an opportunity for the Kingsland, Sunrise Beach and Buchanan Dam areas to be more easily engaged.

Please arrive early to check in and register for multiple door prizes beginning at 5:30 p.m. CTEC will also be giving a $10 credit to your account for attendance. Please bring proper ID or a CTEC bill or the label from the magazine to verify membership.

Topics include a presentation on past, current and future CTEC activities in District 4.

District 4 Board Director Fermin Ortiz is up for re-election to a new three-year term. Ortiz is running unopposed but wants to invite everyone to this district meeting so they can see their cooperative in action.

Ortiz said, “It is an honor and a privilege to serve both Llano County and CTEC as your voice and your vote. It is important that you as a member/ owner know what your COOP is doing for you to provide reliable electric service at the lowest rate possible. Please know that I and all my fellow board members are committed to achieving that goal. Please join us on June 10, at the Kingsland Community Center behind Mr. Gatti’s so you can stay informed.”
