Vandals, thieves damage and steal downtown sculptures

From a concrete mosaic to a bronze horse and rider piece, Marble Falls police are probing a recent spate of theft and damage to downtown sculptures. The most recent report involved a $7,000 mosaic sculpture in front of a business in the 200 block of Main Street.

From a concrete mosaic to a bronze horse and rider piece, Marble Falls police are probing a recent spate of theft and damage to downtown sculptures.

The most recent report involved a $7,000 mosaic sculpture in front of a business in the 200 block of Main Street. Despite the sculpture being drilled into a base, thieves ripped it from its pedestal.

The report to the police came in around noon on Saturday, June 1.
