The Central Texas Groundwater Conservation District board of directors recently decided to maintain Stage 4 critical drought restrictions.
Because of the lack of much-needed rainfall during several past months, until further notice, during its meeting June 16, the board continued to mandate the annual total reduction of groundwater production of 15% by non-exempt well-owners.
During future days, the board will continue to assess the effect of rainfall on local aquifers, District General Manager Mitchell Sodek told The Highlander
