Pedernales Electric Cooperative (PEC) held its fourth annual Solar Car Derby Day at Putters & Gutter in Marble Falls. The event was put on as part of Camp Save-A-Watt, PEC’s free, virtual summer camp for students in kindergarten through fifth grade.

More than 100 campers and their families attended the free event and participated in nine races.

“Events like these are what make PEC a cooperative and more than just a utility,” said Kevyn Packer, PEC Community Outreach Specialist. “It’s always a highlight to provide our members with a day of fun and youth-focused activities.”
