Commissioners accepted one five-figure grant from the Texas Veterans Commission (TVC) earlier this week during a special session at the county courthouse.
The TVC veterans assistance grant of $50,000 will support the county VetRide service for veterans who
need transportation to medical appointments through August 2026, officials said.
