Burnet County to evaluate voter electoral district breakdown

During the near future, to ensure compliance with Texas law, the Burnet County Attorney plans to analyze how the Texas election code could impact the number of registered voters within each of the county electoral districts.

During the near future, to ensure compliance with Texas law, the Burnet County Attorney plans to analyze how the Texas election code could impact the number of registered voters within each of the county electoral districts.

“It (election law) is very complicated,” Assistant County Attorney Colleen Davis told the Burnet County Commissioners during the May 28 meeting.

According to Texas law, Burnet and other small counties must contain at least 100 but no more than 5,000 registered voters per each election district, Davis pointed out.
