Historic Joppa Bridge destroyed by flood
The Joppa Bridge, a distinctive iron truss bridge, was built in 1907. Contributed photos

into the San Gabriel River in Burnet County.

The bridge was located east of a newer bridge on County Road 200.

Burnet County officials shared video footage of the bridge being slammed by high water, breaking apart and then floating away.
