A five-day jury trial in Burnet County resulted in maximum sentence for a charge of continuous sexual abuse of a child.
The jury recommended a sentence for Angel Escalante, 52, of Waco, of life in prison without the possibility of parole on July 11.
33rd Judicial District Court Judge Allan Garrett presided over the trial.
