This weekend, visitors and locals alike will be at the arena south of town for the annual Marble Falls Rodeo.
The rodeo will pay tribute to Chief Michael Phillips of the Marble Falls Area Volunteer Fire Department, who died while responding to the Independence Day weekend flood emergencies.
The annual Marble Falls Rodeo is produced by Cadillac Rodeo with Johnny Hoyle in partnership with the Marble Falls Rodeo Association at the Charley Taylor Arena, U.S. 281 South. Heats were Thursday, Slack Night, when riders qualified to advance to the competitions tonight and Saturday. Gates open at 6:30 p.m. both nights. The rodeo starts at 8 p.m. Phillips tribute will occur during the opening ceremonies.
