There has been such a tremendous outpour of support for the food pantry Sharing the Harvest-Kingsland of late with individuals of all ages showing up and helping feed those in need. But I wanted to shine the spotlight on the local youth who came out on sweltering summer days to volunteer their time.
Brooks and Austin Peace, middle-schoolers from San Antonio, visited their grandparents in Sunrise Beach a few weeks ago.
They spent a vacation morning with their grandmother Sue Peace, a longtime volunteer, loading critical food into the cars, which wrapped around the Sharing the Harvest annex and beyond.
