Banking on success: Fast-track careers through education partnership

Banking on success: Fast-track careers through education partnership
May 2025 Certified Credit Analyst graduate Lauren Allen of Burnet (center) with Mary Rist, Texas Tech Highland Lakes and Brad Petty, president, Cadence Bank Marble Falls.

The workforce grant from Workforce Solutions Rural Capital Area, called REINVEST, Texas Tech is offering the REINVEST course again this fall, online and in-person, making their program accessible to bankers throughout Texas.

The program has helped 14 bank employees over the last two years earn a highly desired credential for a Credit Analyst or Loan Officer position.

Though the REINVEST grant will not apply to students outside Burnet, Llano or Blanco counties, bankers agree that the Texas Tech student fee is reasonable for this much-needed training.
