The Burnet County Commissioners Court met July 29 to hire an attorney for consultation about a transmission line as well as to move forward with repairs and remediation for the planned expansion of the county annex on the square in Burnet.
During the regular meeting, the court approved more than $29,000 for the J. Poole Group to complete repairs at the Burnet County Annex, 127 E. Jackson St.
Repairs include asbestos and lead removal, ceiling and wall adjustments, as well as chemical patch testing, all of which is estimated to cost more than $941,000, according to county officials.
