Donated art glass benefits guild projects

Donated art glass benefits guild projects
Highland Arts Guild artist Marcia Stickler shared the spotlight Aug. 1 with the piece she created – a glass panel made with art glass donated to the guild for an auction.

In June, the Highland Arts Guild and Gallery hosted their yearly auction.

Contributions for this event came from guild members and many donors in the community.

The money from this event goes to support guild projects like the children’s summer workshops and art for seniors in assisted living facilities. This story begins in May. Della and Jason Clopton called the guild because they had recently moved to Kingsland and found a shed full of art supplies, including 400 pounds of art glass, on their property. They wondered if we could use the supplies.
