Flood-damaged bridge takes shape on RM 1431

Crews have laid the foundation for an unprecedented bridge project after stormwaters swept away a critical roadway connecting Burnet to Travis County on RM 1431.

“(We had) big progress this week at the RM 1431 bridge at Cow Creek,” according to TxDOT Austin District’s public information officer Kellen Mohrmann. Mohrmann is producing regular video updates detailing the progress.

On Aug. 2, she shared that, “All of the drill shafts and columns are complete, forming the backbone of this structure.
